About

Jimmy LaFave’s vision for a singer-songwriter gathering of likeminded souls began in Lajitas, Texas in November 2011 with a music festival featuring Gretchen Peters, Kevin Welch, Sam Baker, Slaid Cleaves, John Fullbright, Malcolm Holcomb and Will Kimbrough.

Jimmy LaFave’s Songwriter Rendezvous Paramount Tribute show was held on May 18, 2017 at the Paramount Theater in Austin, Texas. Spearheaded by Jimmy’s good friends Valerie Denn, Christine Albert and Eliza Gilkyson, the Tribute show was a gathering of celebration for Jimmy’s life, music, friendship and spirit.

It was always Jimmy’s intention for the Songwriter Rendezvous to be a yearly event and we plan to continue his vision of bringing together the very talented and gifted musicians he so tirelessly championed for.
